Heidi Parviainen
Heidi Parviainen (born 1979) is a Finnish soprano singer, best known as the lead singer of the symphonic power metal band Amberian Dawn since 2006.[3] In 2010, she revealed in an interview that she had in fact changed her last name, but kept Parviainen professionally.[4]
Biography
Heidi grew up going to a musically oriented school, and started taking singing lessons by age 14, by the same time she started joining choirs and projects. In 1997 she joined the heavy metal band Iconofear as a keyboardist and backing vocalist, and in 2006 she started to search for a new band. Tuomas Seppälä, who was forming the project that would become Amberian Dawn alongside Tommi Kuri contacted her after seeing her ad. Heidi tried out as a singer as well as wrote lyrics for the song "Passing Bells", before Tuomas Seppälä asked her to join the band.[5]
